ComponentOne Releases Silverlight Toolset

An RIA toolkit for Silverlight

ComponentOne released its Studio Enterprise Silverlight Alpha Toolset. This toolset works in synergy with Microsoft's Silverlight 1.1 and lets you use C1 Silverlight components to build media experiences and rich interactive applications for the Web that incorporate video, animation, interactivity, and user interfaces.

The Studio Enterprise Silverlight Alpha Toolset is a Rich Internet Applications (RIA) toolset for Silverlight. It includes basic UI controls such as buttons, containers, date/time, lists, sliders, text, grid, chart, and schedule controls. Each control leverages Microsoft's Extensible Application Markup Language (XAML) technology. Also, it enables the graphics and design capabilities found in Microsoft Expression Studio; a suite of products supporting skins, graphics, and animation.

"The C1 Silverlight Alpha Toolset provides developers with a glimpse of the full capabilities, from both a design and developer perspective. This represents the beginning of an innovative suite of tools delivering stimulating visuals and presentation insinuated into any application," said ComponentOne's Steve Day. "Just one tool, such as the 'stock price' data grid and chart that C1 demonstrated at ReMix 07 has generated so much interest."

For more information on the alpha version of the Studio Enterprise Silverlight Toolset and Silverlight 1.1, see ComponentOne Labs.
