Microsoft has wrapped up its Worldwide Partner Conference in Denver with an announcement of new programs designed to help strengthen its partner ecosystem. "You guys... energize me! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" CEO Steve Ballmer exclaimed to the audience in his keynote, underscoring the importance Microsoft places on the relationship with its partners. The programs include technical, business, and promotional resources, such as the launch of a reference site called INNOVATE—ON; an enhanced version of the ISV Royalty Licensing Program; the ISV portal on Microsoft.com, http://www.microsoft.com/isv/ (which was launched in June); and an annual "Ingenuity Point" showcase and contest, recognizing outstanding ISVs around the world. Several videos from the WPC are available online at the Digital WPC site, including Kevin Turner's opening keynote, in which he announced February 27 2008 as the simultaneous release date for SQL Server 2008, Windows Server 2008, and Visual Studio 2008. Also available are videos featuring Allison Watson discussing Software + Services; Andy Lees and Steve Guggenheimer on Dynamic IT; Sanjay Parasarathy on .NET, Silverlight, and Office Business Applications; and Tami Reller finishing out the conference by outlining the Microsoft Dynamics CRM strategy.
Videos of the applications and tools demonstrated during the conference are also available including Dynamics Live CRM, Windows Server 2008, Windows Automotive, LicenseWise, the Windows Vista Business Value Assessment tool, and the Windows Vista Hardware Assessment tool. Videos of other breakout sessions will be available after Friday, July 13.
