the 17th Annual
Jolt Product Excellence Awards
16 categories to honor the most jolting
software development products of 2006
San Francisco, November 21, 2006 – CMP Technology’s Dr. Dobb’s Journal today announced that nominations for the 17th Annual Jolt Product Excellence
Awards are now open. Each year, the Jolt Product Excellence Awards, sponsored
by Dr. Dobb’s Journal, acknowledges those products, books and technologies
that “jolt” the industry with their significance. Finalists will
be announced in January 2007, and the 2006 Jolt Award winners will be announced
at a gala ceremony on March 21, 2007 at the 20th Software Development Conference & Expo
West at the Santa Clara Convention Center.
Last year more than 350 nominations for books, tools, and technologies were
submitted for the coveted trophies, and this year’s competition promises
to be just as tough. “Our esteemed panel of Jolt judges look for the
most innovative and leading-edge products in each category,” said Jolt
Awards Director Rosalyn Lum. “The Jolt Awards honor products that have
redefined a genre or solved a problem that has previously eluded a solution.”
