Tim O'Reilly addressed the OSCON convention in his Wednesday keynote titled "Degrees of Freedom, Open Source in the Wed 2.0 Era"
Tim focused on the hybrid nature of Web 2.0 apps, which may run on a combination of Open source and proprietary software. "Businesses matter," he stated, "Business shape the culture that we live in and they have enormous power. Thinking about how to engage them, where they are, what the do, how they think, is a big part of successful activism"
