JBuilder 2007, unveiled on Monday, includes an integrated developer collaboration portal called TeamInsight, and graphical user interfaces for building enterprise JavaBeans and Web services.

"JBuilder 2007 will prove that enterprise development and open source are complementary, and can create unmistakable value for the overall organization," Michael Swindell, vice president of products and strategy for CodeGear, the developer tools group at Borland, said in a statement.

TeamInsight provides features for code management, requirements, bug tracking and project management. For outside the development process, JBuilder 2007 integrates with the Borland Application Lifecycle Management product.

JBuilder 2007 will be generally available by the end of the year, and will be backward compatible with applications built in previous versions of the product.
