Conclusion
In this article, I provided a broad introduction to consuming, creating, and deploying RESTful Web Services -- using standard java.net.* classes and servlets, as well as the JAX-WS 2.0 APIs and annotations. A primary goal of this chapter was to highlight the similarities and differences between traditional Java techniques and the JAX-WS 2.0 approach to Web Services. Another goal was to provide a grounding in some of the basic XML processing techniques used to implement SOA-style integration of RESTful Web services.
