SDForum Hosts App Development Event

"Shaping the New Age of Application Development" to be held April 17-18 in Santa Clara

According to Forrester Research, the market for application software is forecasted to be $180.6 billion by 2010, driven by cheap new technology platforms like Cloud computing and application containers, the need for more flexibility, and the escalating costs to maintain existing corporate IT software. SDForum's Shaping the New Age of Application Development is a two-day conference for developers to discuss development tools, platforms and methodologies, and learn about applications with collaboration and analytics at the core and built from the ground up to easily accommodate elastic demand, community driven functionality, and pay-per-use models.

The event is focused around four themes:

  • CAPITALIZING CLOUD COMPUTING
  • PLATFORMS AND CHOICES
  • EMERGING APPLICATIONS; ANALYTICS: THE NEW BLACK
  • MAKING MONEY AND SOLVING PROBLEMS
Speakers will include Todd Fast from Zembly (Sun Microsystems), Bill Grosso from TwoFish, John Loughney from Nokia, Hamid Pirahesh from IBM, and many more.

The event will be held at the Tech Mart in Santa Clara, April 17-18.
