Coverity to Add Symbian C++ Support
Coverity has announced it will be adding support for
Symbian C++ in its
Coverity Prevent SQS static source code analysis tool.
"Defect detection for Symbian C++ will enable Prevent SQS to deliver the most accurate static analysis of Symbian code available to date," says Coverity's Seth Hallem. "By adding these new capabilities to Prevent SQS, developers can focus more on Symbian OS development and less on identifying and managing code defects."
Coverity's representation of a software system, or the Software DNA Map, lets complex defects in source code be automatically identified. As part of the announcement, Coverity will develop new code analysis capabilities specifically for Symbian OS.
