A Taste of Team System
With references to the "Deli Sandwich Language," pudding databases and deploying bread to toasters, I'm guessing that Scott Swigart sat down right before lunch to converse with Microsoft Team System MVP Richard Hundhausen. Scott and Richard discussed how Visual Studio 2005 Team System is being used in the real world, and Richard detailed some of the more savory features of VSTS. He explained that some companies were drawn to Team System primarily for source control or testing only to realize greater benefits in project management, reporting, and more.

Rolling Your Own XP DOS
InformationWeek's Fred Langa runs down the steps to enabling a robust DOS prompt within the Win XP Recovery Console. By design, the Recovery Console is a bare-bones boot that lets you perform minor system repairs and keeps the uninitiated from getting into trouble. But by first enabling the SET command and then adding a few SET statements, you can to turn on wildcard support in commands, read/write access to the entire hard drive and removable drives, and more.
As always, back up your system before performing any tweaks, and then check out Fred's hot-rodding tips at: Langa Letter: The OS Inside The OS.
