TechFest Provides a Look into the Lab

Microsoft Research is in the middle of its three-day TechFest 2007, the fifteenth annual open-house showcase of ongoing research. Of course, not all research projects become products, but it's interesting to see what's in the works across many fields: enterprise apps, learning tools, consumer apps, search and data-modeling, and more.
Rick Rashid, Microsoft Research Senior Vice President, provided the keynote on Tuesday. The keynote video is available online, and it provides an overview into some of the projects, including a cool demo of a zoomable map of space.
Channel 9 is also posting videos showing some of the cool stuff from the demo booths, starting with DynaVis and FastDASH.
