ASP.NET AJAX 1.0 Shipped
Microsoft has announced the release of ASP.NET AJAX 1.0, as well as an update to the ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit. The latest release includes over 30 controls including four new ones: Auto Complete, Calendar, Masked Edit and Tabs. Check out the online control demos:

Back in the day, ASP.NET AJAX was codenamed Atlas, and Scott Swigart showed us how to deploy the autocomplete control in this video tutorial, Working with the Atlas Framework. Scott pulled the autocomplete data from a web service.
