Agile 2007 is coming to D.C. !
I've been away for a bit shipping some software, but I'm glad to be back blogging about .NET and the Windows world. Hope you all had a nice set of holidays, and haven't given up (yet) on those new year's resolutions.
Lots been going on in my software world since I last penned on Zen of Settings (which we're going to pick up again, I promise). The biggest thing is an immersion into Agile development using Scrum. I'll be writing more on this topic and how it intersects with .NET development as the year progresses. But so far, I'm really, really excited about how Scrum is working within my teams.
This morning in fact, I read a note from Ken Schwaber (the co-inventor of Scrum) about the Agile 2007 conference coming to Washington D.C. Definitely made my day since I live in the D.C. area. You'd think the capital of the U.S. would get a huge share of East Coast conferences but for some odd reason - to me at least - D.C. gets overlooked in favor of Boston or Florida. Peculiar since we're about 1/2 way up the coast and easy for people to get to compared to the other locales.
If you're anywhere near D.C. in August, I definitely recommend attending the Agile conference. Even if you're not doing anything with Agile yet, it's likely you will be at some point in your career.
