Building With Third-Party AJAX Controls

Achieving platform neutrality while maintaing a robust UI is one of the key goals of AJAX development. In his article, Bringing the Desktop Application to the Web, author Conor Seabrook describes his company's earlier frustrations with building the first version of a web-based app, and the process of using third-party AJAX-based controls to build the 2.0 version from scratch. It's pretty robust and responsive, although I did notice some platform dependent glitches in getting the tree view controls to display on Firefox. Time to bust out Firebug.
