DabbleDB and Seaside
DabbleDB is a web based database that offers data refactoring and normalization in a way that you don't really have to know anything about refactoring or normalization. DabbleDB was authored by Avi Bryant, in Avi Bryant's celebrated webframework: Seaside.
Go ahead and watch the DABBLEDB screencast.
The usability of the database abstraction that you experience in DabbleDB is just a taste of the abstraction that Avi has made in Seaside. Seaside is a completely different way of looking at things that I believe is the beginning of true web objects. If you want to know more about Seaside and continuation style web-frameworks read Bruce Tate's, Crossing borders: Continuations, Web development, and Java programming
Bruce Tate is the author of three best-selling Java books, including the Jolt winner Better, Faster, Lighter Java. He recently released Spring: A Developer's Notebook.
