Moving on to World2Worlds™—What’s That You Ask?

Posted: April 30, 2008 10:03 PM

Exciting and interesting times! World2Worlds is the company I’ve owned for well over a year now and has been under contract to CMP working hand in hand with John Jainschigg for whom I’d been providing consulting services in the development, design, implementation and management of their virtual world presence and events, such as the Life 2.0 conferences. I’m very excited to be publicly sharing this with you!

Many of you know that UBM’s CMP entity was reorganized and now it’s ThinkServices. With this reorganization, that contract has ended. As of May 1, 2008, I am continuing what we’d begun and will provide these same services for existing and future clients. My blog will be moving over to the new website at www.world2worlds.com, and all events, announcements, broadcasts and services will be posted there.

I hope you come with me.

You, the community we treasure and embrace, are the pioneers and innovators largely responsible for the success of these platforms and online media programs. Your contributions, thoughts, and perspectives are of great value and I ask that you join the World2Worlds' community to continue to receive our announcements for events and conferences, as well as proffer your own expertise for some of these programs. Feel free to send me your email address asking to be put on our mailing list (ksmith@world2worlds.com) or join the World2Worlds group in Second Life.

The new website at www.world2worlds.com is open for business, yet still under development. Blogs will appear there soon, RSS feeds, events and programs. The future is bright, lots going on and I’m SO excited. Today I received a confirmation email to speak at the National APWA Congress in August with Pam Broviak, Director of Public Works for the City of LaSalle, Illinois and two people from the Texas Engineering Extension. Geez I *love* this work! See you at World2Worlds and, thank you all for being you.
