My SOA Patterns Book: Chapter One Draft

Okay, I know it is a bit of shameless promotion--but it is also related to this blog's subject matter.

The draft for the first chapter of my book SOA Patterns is available on-line from Manning Publications Co.

The first chapter talks about software architecture and the inputs architects can/should use to design an architecture (emphasizing Quality Attributes). It explains the challenges of distributed systems and takes a look at the SOA from an architectural perspective.

You can freely download the chapter here

Any comments are welcome and appreciated. (You can also leave comments at soa@rgoarchitects.com.)
