RPC to the Rescue

Some environments really demand a combination of general- and special-purpose processors to get the job done. Working with a heterogeneous architecture that includes both types of cores poses special challenges, many of which can be met through the proper use of Remote Procedure Call. Of course, there are some pitfalls, too. Steve Preissig gives us the low-down.
