Revealing the Weak Links of HTML-Enabled Email - Letter 1

WebReview.com: E-HTML: Revealing the Weak Links of HTML-Enabled Email

Letter 1

To: Songline East
From: D.C. Denison
Subject: HTML-Enabled Email

Dear Songline East,

It only took 4 hours and 50 minutes to download Microsoft's Outlook Express, but now I'm up and running (I think) with HTML-enabled email. I didn't think the download would take so long, but Microsoft insisted that I take my Outlook Express with a side order of Internet Explorer 4.0. (Does the Department of Justice know about this?)

Anyway, here I am, straddling the border between HTML and email.

Jen, you were going to install Eudora's new upgrade. How did it go? And how does this look at your end?

Actually, before you respond, let me see if I can insert a picture and a link.

First, I have to click Rich Text (HTML) in the format window, then Insert Picture...

Okay.

BTW, I signed up for InfoBeat graphic (Did this graphic come through as a hyperlink? I tried to make it link to their homepage.) It was a free special offer on the Microsoft Outlook Express Partners page. I had the option to personalize the news I wanted. One option was "Crime & Catastrophe." Great. Tabloid HTML-Email! I signed up for Tech News instead.

So, now, how does this look? Start here

Modernize your Development by Moving Build and Code Quality Upstream
Moderated by Jon Erickson, Editor-in-Chief of Dr. Dobb's, this interactive panel discussion brings industry experts Anders Wallgren, CTO of Electric Cloud and Gwyn Fisher, CTO of Klocwork together for a candid discussion of the cost savings, productivity and quality benefits that can be achieved by stabilizing builds and code quality as early in the development cycle as possible.

The reality of today's development environment - geographically distributed teams, the use of Agile development practices, increasing application complexity, etc. - is straining the viability of the traditional coding, build and release process. To stay ahead of the curve, development teams are modernizing their approach to dealing with these issues, and as a result are achieving new levels of development productivity.
